Something Positive About My Holiday

During the holiday, my family decided to go out and spend time with each other. So me and my family went onto a mall and we bought so much stuff like shoes, bags, and clothes. After we went there, we went straight to a park and then fishing which is near Queenstown. As we got enough fish to bring it home, we went home to my cousins house in Asburton for a week, we watched some movies and we ate food. Me and my cousins played sports like Badminton, Football and Basketball. When the night came, we went to our friends 18th birthday party and we enjoyed it.

Class Treaty

In Social Studies with Mr. P, we set up a class Treaty. The Treaty represents rules of our class. Mr. P came up 6 rules and our class came up with 6. Our goal each class is to respect this Treaty and follow the rules. Mr. P and our entire class signed the Treaty.

Boiled Water

Time to boil water

Aim
The measurement of the temperature of 50 ml of water every 30 sec. until 5 min. was 100.2.

Equipment

• Bunsen Burner
• Tri-pod
• Gauze Mat
• Beaker

Method

1. Measure exactly 50 ml of water in the 100 ml measuring cylinder.
2. Put this water in the 250 ml beaker, and set that up on top of the tri-pod and gauze mat.
3. Prepare the bunsen burner to be lit, and hove someone ready to measure the temperature and someone keeping a track of time.
4. Have a table prepared for results.
5. Light the bunsen burner (I will supply a lighter), and change to the blue flame then put the bunsen under your beaker.
6. Measure the water temperature every 30 seconds from 0 to 5 minutes
7. Turn off the bunsen burner and leave everything to cool off for a few mins.
8.  Pack up your equipment.
