Countersink is used when screwheads or rivets must be set below the surface of work.

Lay out as for general hole drilling. Then scribe a witness circle of the exact diameter of the drill from the marked centre. Don't punch where the centre lines intersect the circle. This will provide witness or check points both during and after drilling the hole.

Manga

1. When were the first Manga like images appear?
The first Manga-like images appeared in the late eighteenth-century Japan, when a growing middle class of merchants (sellers) had developed markets for villages (old-school malls!).

Manga is kind of traditional Japanese Art that is considered to be a 'non-direct' ancestor of Manga as an art form.

3. What is the name of the artist who is influential? Include some other information about this....
The name of the artist who is influential is Osamu Tezuka, known in Japan as the "god of manga". Tezuka has a popular creation and it was the "Mighty Atom", it is known throughout the world.

HHS LIFESTYLE (Pizza Swirls)

Pizza Swirls

Ingredients

50g butter

2 cups flour

1Tbl baking powder

½ tsp salt

¾ -1 cup milk

1 cup grated cheese

½ onion

2 rashers bacon or ham slices

1 tsp oil

½ cup tomato puree or pasta sauce

1tsp mixed herbs or chopped parsley

Method

1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees° bake or 200 degrees fan bake.
2. Shift the flour, baking powder and salt into a medium sized bowl.
3. Cut butter into small pieces (grated if cold) and rub with your fingertips into the flour mixture until the mixture looks like large breadcrumbs.
4. Make a well in the middle of flour mixture and pour in most of the milk.
5. Mix with a bread knife until the mixture binds together.
6. Add more milk if necessary and use your hands at the end to help combine the dough into ball shape.
7. Place dough onto a lightly floured board and roll into a rectangle type shape (35cmx22cm).
8. Chop the onion and bacon or ham into small pieces and sauté in a small fry pan or saucepan with a t of oil.
9. Spread the tomato puree or sauce over the rolled out dough and arrange the onion and bacon on top.
10. Sprinkle grated cheese and mixed herbs.
11. Roll up the rectangle dough with the filling inside.
12. Cut it into even sized circles about 3cm in width and place face down on a greased oven tray.
13. Bake for 12-15min until they are golden and smell cooked.
14. Remove from oven and let cool for 5min.

Arthropods

An arthropod is an invertebrate animal having an exoskeleton, a segmented body, and paired jointed appendages. Arthropods form the phylum Arthropoda, which includes insects, arachnids, myriapods, and crustaceans.

Arachnid Arthropods - are a class of joint-legged invertebrate animals, in the subphylum Chelicerata. All arachnids have eight legs, although the front pair of legs in some species has converted to a sensory function.

Insect Arthropods - are by far the largest group of hexapod invertebrates within the arthropod phylum. Definitions and circumscriptions vary; in one approach insects comprise a class within the Phylum Arthopoda.

Crustacean Arthropods - Crustaceans form a large, diverse arthropod taxon which includes such familiar animals as crabs, lobsters, crayfish, shrimp, krill, woodlice and barnacles.

1. Kowhaiwhai - is Maori history as recorded by Maori. The patterns painted on the ridgepole represent the tribal genealogy. The main line of descent begins with the founding ancestor. On the rafters, patterns represent the diverging branches of the family.

  

2. Art Nouveau - a style of decorative art, architecture, and design prominent in western Europe and the USA from about 1890 until the First World War and characterized by intricate linear designs and flowing curves based on natural forms.
 

3. Manga - are comics created in Japan or by creators in the Japanese language, conforming to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century. They have a long and complex pre-history in earlier Japanese art.

 

4. Pasifika - is having a significant impact on the development of art in Aotearoa/New Zealand and it is a well-worn cliche that Auckland is now the capital of Polynesia.
