Creative Writing: Recount

1.   Use sequencing words - at first, while, finally, then, meanwhile, eventually

2.   Use interesting adjectives and vocabulary

3.   Provide additional details

4.   Use paragraph breaks (skip a line)

5.   Check that your spelling and punctuation are correct (full stops, capital letters, capital “I”, commas and apostrophes where appropriate)

My holidays were fun. I went to my grandma’s house. My brothers came too. Grandma has seven cats. We had to feed them every day. I didn’t like that. One of them got lost. We found him though. Going to Grandma’s was my favourite part of the holidays.

My holidays were fun. I went to my grandma's house and it took so long for us to get there, eventually we arrived before the day ends. Then my brothers came too at grandma's, so we had a bond and we laugh together. Grandma has seven cats, there was 4 girls and 3 boys of them. The girls were named by me and my brothers which is Misty, Missy, Kitty, and Lily. The boys were named by my cousins which is Coco, Gizmo, and Ginger. They are so adorable and fluffy, I cuddle with them all day. I took care of them, I took a bath of them, and I feed them everyday. My brothers didn't like that because they're too lazy to took care of it. Suddenly, one of them got lost and it was Missy, I'm so worried about her and I started thinking negative thoughts. So me and my brothers searched her for a minute, and then finally we found her. She was outside playing with a ball because it's her favourite, I wondered where that ball came from and someone shouted from the backyard "Somebody pick the ball and gave it back?!!". I got the ball and gave back to the kid. Then me and Missy went back inside and we play with the other cats. Going to Grandma's was my favourite part of the holidays.
